The approach to lameness diagnosis may include several steps in order to identify the cause of discomfort and create a bespoke treatment and rehabilitation plan.
This may include:
Physical examination.
Lameness assessment on hard and soft surfaces, as well as under saddle.
Flexion tests.
Nerve blocks.
Diagnostic imaging: Ultrasonography and/or x-ray.
Consulting with your farrier/hoof care provider, where required.
For complex cases, we can work with hospital centres providing MRI, CT, scintigraphy and/or surgical services where appropriate.
