Richard M Stringer BVSc MRCVS

Originally from Yorkshire, Richard qualified from Liverpool University and has since made his home on Dartmoor. He has worked in Devon as a mixed practitioner for several years before deciding to follow his main interest specialising in equine veterinary work.

With a keen interest in equine reproduction Richard owns several broodmares and breeds sport-horses and Friesians. Richard rides regularly and hunts as often as possible and is a subscriber to the Mid Devon Hunt.

When the horses allow, Richard likes to think he’s Gordon Ramsey and cooks for family and friends, ideally with Rugby on in the background.

Jennie Henderson, Veterinary Nurse

Jennie is a new addition to the Stringer Equine team for 2011, A fully qualified veterinary nurse, Jennie will assist Richard with radiography, gastroscopy and any surgical procedures when needed, run the laboratory and manage reception. In her spare time Jennie has two horses to keep her busy, spending weekends hacking or hunting and preparing her young horse hopefully for an eventing future.
